yes, yes, YES! Damn, exercise is fun!

Have you ever done so many deep pelvic thrusts to a song with wicked deep bass and beat while exercising that before you knew it you were totally seam riding to the point where, well lets just say that with the curtains open and nosey neighbours you could be putting on quite the show?

Ummm... yeah... ... ... me neither...

I'm so worthy!!!

Hey! Guess what? I'm worthy of an award!! Here it is:
I want to thank Si from Wilko News for giving it to me. It means so much to me that you think of me as deserving of something so warm and fuzzy and lovely! Our friendship means everything to me and I wouldn't trade it for the world! Best Blogging Buddies, for the rest of time, yeah?
I want to pass this award on to:
Soul Seared Dreamer because he's an amazing person, full of love and life and enthusiasm and he always knows how to comfort me.
Grunty because he's one of my oldest Blogger Buddies, always knows how to bring a smile to my face and he'll always have a special place in my heart.
And Burfica because she ALWAYS knows how to make me laugh... and sometimes cry... and well, peeps, she's just got that something special!!!
Now, just because I didn't send it to you doesn't mean I don't love and value your friendship. Because you know I do... and if you've forgotten, just put your hand over your heart, close your eyes and feel my love and friendship right there. Feel it?

can't help it if I'm popular...

UPDATE: Hey guys... I know it seems like I've been drinking alot lately. And I guess I have been letting loose a bit. Just want you to know, it's not taking over my life, it's just a very social time of year. I've never been a big drinker, so just a couple beer or glasses of wine do the trick. My liver's still gonna be in tact come January 1st! And I'll probably smarten up a bit then. Mkay?

Crap. I'm drnk again.

Went to my neighbors houseand had some wine. like alot of extra glasses of wine. But I'm not as bad off as the other night.... who'd have thought a Home and Gift party would be so entertaining? Haven't laughed that much in ... well, probly since the last time I drank too much. One thinkg I'm rlearning is that I'm a happy fun drunk. FUn to be aroudn. And that's good,, right?

Who wants to party wtih me next?

Love Juels :O!!

on a quest...

What are your top 3 favorite songs from each era: 60's, 70's, 80's, and today's hits - any genre?

I'm asking you... all of you! And I'll check back in my comments for the next couple of days so that I'm not putting you on the spot and you have lots of time to think about it, okay?

Jules :Oj

music moves me

Do you wanna know why exercizing with an iPod or MPIO or whatever media you possess is so important and good? Because you turn the volume right up, to drown out distractions, and that makes it easier for you to focus on maximizing your workout, and because you're maximizing your energies you're working harder and breathing harder, but because you have the volume turned up, you can't hear yourself breathing hard, so you forget that you are and you don't feel quite as tired, not to mention the fact that you're listening to your favorite tunes so that in iteslf makes you groove to the beat ... and this is officially my longest run on sentence ever published, I think it's time for it to end!

not even a slight hangover...

Okay, I've recovered enough from last night to post something at least slightly ledgible. But first, I make no apologies for my behavior (not that I really felt like I needed to anyway cuz I had a damn good time and I'm allowed to!)... and second, well, there really is no second.

Here... lemme distract you with a couple of odd facts about me.

I am stove burner illiterate. What this entails is that 7 times out of 10 I will, even after great study of the dials, turn on the wrong burner. This is one of the reason's I dislike cooking, because it always seems to add an extra 10 minutes to the cooking time by the time I've realized that I've turned on the wrong burner again. I might have some sort of excuse for this if I were uh, blind, or if the stove was all push buttons with some sort of mathmatical sequencey thing that was beyond my intellegence to figure out. But this just isn't the case.

My second freak show thing for you to discover about me tonight is that I have to have my stereo volume control turned to an even number. Even if this means having the song just that little bit too soft or little bit too loud. This stems from a girl I used to chum around with who lectured me at length about the bad luck it brings to leave ANY volume control that is numbered on an odd number. Just plain baaaaad luck. So rather than test her theory, I've always just been "Little Miss Even Girl" and followed suit. What?? I don't want bad luck any more than you do!

Betcha didn't know either one of those things!

can't see sttraight.... what??

I told my sister that I was gonna drunk blog tonight as she was friving me home tonight so here I am. She just dropped me off. I don't ahve a effing clue what I'm gonna write. but it's gonna be something for you to laff at anyways.

We went to the Blarney Stone for some beer and appys.. to celebtate something big she did tonight and so we had beer. I had a thingy of gu9inness last time I want out and felt buzzy so I though best bang for my buck, I'll drink it again. So I evern ordered aq thingy of dry ribs (my favorite appy) to soak up the beer, but then I gfueess it didn't help much because 3 pints later I'm smashed and can't feel my face at all... and can't geel my teeth and have no idea what I'm even writing to you. My best guess is that in the morning I'll wakw up and be totally embarrassed at whatever this is.

But I do have two things to say. Why is it that in a pub, where you'd excpet people to be deunk do th3ey have automatic paper towel dispenders that you have to try and figure out and so you're waving your hands intfont of them waiting for the paper towel to come out and ... oh, I forget what else. But you know what my favorite word is tongiht? It's: "WHAAAAAT?"

So I know I'm not gonna hear the end of that.

Whatever. It's justme in the raw. Love me or leave me!

I have to go pee. Once you break the "seal" there's no turning back, is there? THen you just have to pee all friggin night! Better go pee a few more times before bed, too.

GASP at nature, people... you just must!

Oh the WONDERS of the night's sky!!! I thought it was beautiful when I went over to my sister's house tonight... the stars were out in full abundance, the 3/4 moon lit the back alley as if the sun was out... the remnants of the city lights left such a glow that it looked like brilliant sunbeams flittering across the black night sky. It was amazing. Really.

And then I headed back home and the second I stepped out the door, I glanced up at THE MOST INCREDIBLE halo around the moon that I'd ever seen! Truly a spectacular sight!!! A soft glowing white halo the entire circumference of the moon. The stars no longer the brightest things in the sky (second to the actual moon, of course)... they were simply no longer... the halo stood out and demanded 100% attention. For a moment, I didn't even feel the coldness of the night around me. The glow of the halo encompassed all of me and filled me with the warmth of it's beauty.

Picture something like this... except instead of blues, it's much more black with few stars mixed in...

I tried to get a photo and a video of it, but with it being night, it didn't work out. So I shall rest my weary head on my pillow tonight, close my eyes and dream of the moon's halo, and wish that I could share my own personal vision of it with the world.

I've been touched... (and not like that, you perverts!)

Tonight I went to a live theatre production at The Matchbox put on by Ignition Theatre. The play was called "Tuesdays With Morrie". It was a two man play one younger man, one older man. It left me literally laughing, gasping for air, holding my heart, and crying many times all in the span of 73 minutes. It really was an amazing play.

The autobiographical story of Mitch Albon, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reuinted with his once life coach and professor, Morrie and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

The writers of this play did extremely well in expressing what life SHOULD be all about. With phrases/concepts like: "Life without love is like a bird with broken wings" ... or the concept of getting "extra credit" meaning give a little bit extra of yourself to receive more back (in the play it was simply in the form of physical affection, hugs)... or letting go of your inhibitions and holdbacks in order to love and live freely... or the fact that age doesn't age us - it's how you express yourself to the world around you that does.

In any case, you'd have to be completely daft not to get the magnificent meanings behind the words in this play. I wish I could have a copy of the script... just to keep. I learned after the play that it's based on a true life story (I was told) and just knowing that there was someone as wise as Morrie out there has made my life more free and loving.

Look out world. My arms are W-I-D-E open!!!

the pubes story for Andy and Alekx

So, 2 people wanted to hear the pubes story.

The year that I was pregnant at work, I took up battle amongst the staff, challenging them to be aware of where they left their pubes... especially bothered by it when they'd leave them on the one staff bathroom toilet seat. I, on several occassions, made a big deal out of it - in a lighthearted and funny way - in the staff room. I even went so far once as to illustrate what it was that I found on the toilet seat on the chalk board in the staff room. Had people in stitches, and my pubes drawings stayed up there for weeks.

I didn't have an overly sensitive nausea factor when I was pregnant, this comes into play later.

My last day of work was happy and sad at the same time, because I just knew how much I'd miss the laughter and friendship of all the wonderful people that I worked with. And I knew how much they were going to miss me. I mean, really... how can anyone live without Jules in their lives? People were showering my desk throughout the day with cards and gifts. I felt really special and loved. I didn't work much that day, just roamed around saying my goodbyes and giving hugs.

And then at the very end of the day, I went into my room and was about to gather up my gifts and belongings to go home when BOOM! Guess what I saw??? A trillion pubic hairs smattered ALL OVER my gifts, cards, chair AND desk! Completely covered, it all was. It looked like Chewbacca (sp?) had taken a buzz cutter, buzzed his nether regions right there and left his pubes all over my stuff. Well, instantly I felt nauseaus. I'm pretty sure I let out a huge scream and then I went DIRECTLY to my friend Kim and blamed her for the prank, expressing how GROSSED out I was. I mean really... how long would you have to collect your pubes for to get that amount! I figured every staff member from her classroom was in on it with her. But when confronted she deined it all. I never did get an explaination about the pubes on my desk... until a year later when Kim worked up the nerve to admit that it was her.

BUT, apparently it was dried corn silk that her classroom gathered on a field trip to the Lacombe Corn Maze, not really pubes. Striking resemblance, they have as they dry and curl up into little squiggly strands.

I'll never forget that, Kim. ;OP

A Tys Tag...

Tag Name: Seven Random and/or Weird Things about Me.

Rules: Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag if you want to...

Okay, so here are some weird things about me (and I'll even do my best to make them ones you haven't read before):

1) If I could marry my own feet, I probably would. Use your imagination and think about what else I might do with them if I could. ;OP

2) I have been working out like a mad woman, pretty much since September. So far I'm only down 15 pounds, but it's coming along slowly but surely. I wish that once a person had the mindset to lose weight it would just melt off faster. Eventually I will have a body that I like! You all can help by keeping me motivated!

3) I really love the sound of someone (or myself) taking a bit out of an extremely crispy fresh apple.

4) I nearly never close the dishwasher door with my hands. Instead I kick it up with my toes and catch it with my hand. I don't know why... I just like to flick the thing up with my foot. I guess cuz it's more fun.

5) I was asked recently if they were to make a film about my life, who would I want to act my role. I still can't think of anyone. My sister says hands down, Drew Barrymore (whom I get told I resemble a fair bit) but I dunno. I think my mind automatically draws a blank whenever I am put on the spot like that. Happens to me with movie stuff, actors/actresses, songs/bands... well, pretty much anything besides flowers.

6) I love to wear white shirts. Clean, crisp white shirts. But I can only wear them for so long because it's either the deodorant I have, or that I sweat (or sorry, "glow") too much but the armpits stain and then I can't get it out in the wash, so eventually I have to throw it away. It's a love hate relationship I have with my white shirts. Does anyone know how to get that stain off? Save me a fortune in new white shirts.

7) I've recently discovered that pink post it notes are my favorite and they make me feel sooo good! (Don't put your imagination to the test to think about what I do with pink post it notes, it's purely a platonic relationship).

There you go. Feel free to do this meme if you want... but I'm not gonna tag anyone! Thanks Tys, for thinking to tag me though! You rock!

Meme'd again...

Normally I save my photographs for the One A Day photo blog which you can check out if you'd like, but today I've been tagged by Jon from Chimeric Day Dreams to post 4 photos that I've taken within 100 meters of my house. It's hard for my eye to find photo worthy things to take pics of right now when everything is brown and dead looking, but here's what I came up with...

Okay, you guys.. and gals... here's what I have to beef about today. And this is a post that I've been thinking about for a week now (give or take a year...or two). I actually have quite a funny story from my work days about my attack on this subject, but unless you want to hear it, I won't post it now.

The beef is:

Deposits of pubic hair on toilet seats and in bathtubs can and should be avoided at all costs...

Seriously... how hard is it to just take a look after you've been to the washroom and make sure you haven't left a strand of PUBIC HAIR on the toilet seat?!?! Or how hard is it to look in the tub after your shower and if one or more has escaped your body, grab a wad of toilet paper and wipe them out.

This might be a major pet peeve of mine from my chambermaid days... oh, man... the stuff you see in hotel bathrooms...

Great, now I'm gonna have nightmares of pubes with arms and legs running after me trying to tie me down at the edge of the tub with my eyes fixed open and they're all shouting at me: Look at us! We're having a paaaarty here... you can't do anything about us, you're all tied up... Ohhhh... neener neener neeeeeeneeer!

That's it.

my face is numb.

Tonight, I got a little bit more drunk on this (below) with my sister (go visiti her here). I'm drunk right now. It's fun... anyone wanna join the party? Come on.... I know you do...

We tried to do the Running Man... that's just how drunk we are...

At least I didn't fall flat on my face.

Superbad and beer

Tonight was a movie and drinks. Didn't plan on the drinky bit, but the movie left us in such a silly mood that drinky bit came naturally. We went to see Superbad. There were some parts in that movie that left me laughing hysterically! OMG, such juvenille humor but sooo funny, when it comes down to the core. I mean, how can you not listen to a 5 minute rant on mooseknuckles and not die of laughter? Plus, it brought back a lot of memories of when I was that age and drunk. And that was the age I was drunk at the most! LOL

So then after that we went to Jim and Jer's Pub and each had some beer. I dunno if it was cuz I didn't eat much today or what, because I've never been this easily affected before, but one pint of Guiness (thought I'd try it for kicks) and I'm feeling a little bit tipsy. Now you all know how cheap a date I am! *giggle* I have a pic of it on my cell phone but as you well know, I can't get the f*ckin' images off my phone to put on here. Whatever. Moral of the story is it was a really fun night and I'm gonna have to do that again soon.

Time for bed!

Jules :Owoohoo!

Mmmm, good eats!

Who says having pancakes for supper can't be a whole bunch of fun? This was mine. I made it myself. Looks awfully good, doesn't it? Just picture it smeared with butter and sauce... uh, I mean, sticky juicy... I mean... uh... syrup! Yeah, that's the word! Syrup!

Good Luck!!

Guess what? My Baby Boy over at About A Boy And His Briefs, has gone and entered into this blogger contest, and I'm doing my part in making sure he gets maximum exposure (but after you see his video, you'll understand why I don't really need to help him with that)!! ;O) Best of luck, Baby Boy!! Here's the link to his post, or you can click on the pic below and look for him top row to the right under Blog Warriors! Jules :Oj

I realize that this is on a Firefly, so the Bzzz probably relates to that somehow, but lemme tell you... a bug wasn't the first thing I thought of when I saw this license plate, if you catch my drift?!

Do I do you proud, Burf?

Let's see... How would Burfica put this?

Holy flipping bunny humping flaming nutsack... I'm more cold than an icecube submersed in the freezing waters of the Arctic, trapped way underneath the largest glacier.

All night I've been literally one giant goosebump... and it wasn't from excitement. My sister and brother-in-law made fun of me and don't believe me, but I'm either on the verge of the flu or I shouldn't have laid on the freezing kitchen lino for that hour playing with babes tonight. It may have honest to bejesus chilled me to the bone. I might die of hypothermia. And when they cut me open to do the autopsy, all they'll find will be gushes of water where my frozen bones used to be.

The most ironic part is that the forecast was completely wrong and it was sunny here all day. But brutally windy.

Hopefully I'll have warmed up enough to get out of bed in the morning.

do you?

Sometimes I just wonder, think, daydream, imagine, get lost inside my head. And most of the time I have a really good time with myself!

That's all.

I try to love it, but sometimes I just can't!

Incase you can't see what this is, it's a 3 day forecast for SNOW. I just thought I'd share this with everyone. Mostly so you can cast your pity this way. I need something to bask in, it's not gonna be the damned sun, so it might as well be your pity!

I'm so behind!

This year, although I seem to be brimming with Christmas spirit, I just am not organized as far as buying presents goes. I've barely started my shopping for family, except for my babes who is almost done. I don't have a clue what to get for a few key people here... Oi! I'm gonna have to really give into my flyer addiction and keep an eye open for gift ideas. Seriously, usually I'm almost done, if not completely done by this time of the year. Most years I start buying gifts January 1st for the following December. Not sure what makes this year different, I'm just not tuned in to "Operation Shopping Spree", I guess!

Maybe you can help me out. What's on your Christmas list this year? I figure if all of you rsepond, that should give me a nice cross section of ideas to go from!

Jules :Oclueless!

Just something

Seems like lately, I've been having to sleep with something between my legs. A pillow, or a bunch of blankets... I don't know if it's because it places my hips correctly so it's more comfortable, or what. But I suggest you give it a try... sleep with something between your legs and let me know how it works out for you! ;O)

white stuff

It snowed here last night. First real snowfall of the season. 4 cm's - ish. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, because it's unusual for it not to have snowed by Halloween. But still... I had to complain just a little bit... because this IS Alberta, and I AM allowed! BRRRRRR!!

my beloved pen

Do you have a favorite pen? I do. I got it from my banker when she came to our previous house to finalize our mortgage stuff. It's a heavily weighted pen about the circumference of a pinky finger, marked with her name and the bank logo. It writes in blue ink. It's shiny black and gold. It twists to open, and when I twist it, it feels smooth. It always sits on my desk. I lost it briefly once, and was so upset about it! I think I should look into getting a backup favorite pen. Just incase that ever happens again.

look up!

I looked up at the night's sky in pure fascination on my way to my sister's house and back this evening. Couldn't find the moon, but the stars were ABSOLUTELY brilliant in the black abyss that is space. Like the kind of sky you only bare witness to when you're out in the country laying in an open field at midnight. The whole entire sky was lit up like a billion little diamonds, just waiting to be plucked from that place which they call home. I wanted the little minute long walk to take forever, so I stopped several times to stare up. I'm sure if any of my neighbors were to have looked out they might have considered calling the cops due to the shadowy figure that was me lurking along in the back alley. But I didn't care. It took my breath away, and it filled my mind with thoughts and memories.

I love it when nature impacts me this way!

Jules :Oahhhhhh!
