Fill in the blank fun!

I woke up with a funky smell on my hands. At first I was really quite concerned, until I remembered I was: __________.

I don't know what you consider normal, but I find toe jam and belly button lint quite useful for: _____________.

I think if I were an animal I'd want to be a(n) _________ because _____________.

Have fun everyone!

i got a new car

And likely you've received an email regarding it, but hey, why not post a pic of it on my blog too! It's little (but not tiny), comfy, strong, sparkly, powerful enough for me, and my son approves with no abandon!

I really did want the matrix, but the people at the dealership there fucked me around and basically, it wasn't within my budget aftrall. But this car is beautiful and I'm so happy to have a brand new car! I think I'm going to call her Torini... after her color which is Santorini Blue, and after my most saught after vacation destination... Santorini Greece.

Anyway, here's a photo:

just for kicks...

Have you ever just saved your gas for in bed because you knew it was gonna be freezing cold when you got under the covers and you wanted an instant way to warm it up?

stupid things people say

I heard a little bit of radio banter this morning in which the guy was talking about someone who was going on a trip. This was followed up by "won't you pack me in your carry on and take me with you!" Now, I, myself, have said this to people plenty of times, it's usually good for a bit of a giggle. But not till today did I realize how ridiculous it was to say! What, do you mean to tell me that you know how to shrink yourself down to carry on luggage size? Shit man... you don't need me to take you on a trip. You could go anywhere in the world for free, as often as you like! Personally, if I could shrink myself down, I'd could think of some niiiiice places to, ehem, spend my time. ;OP

Another one that drives me nuts is "I'll be there in a minute". I bet if I times that, 99% of people wouldn't make their own set 1 minute timeline. It's totally unrealistic. It doesn't take any more syllables to say "I'll be 5 more minutes" so why not just cover your ass and say that instead?

I asked my girl, Vix, what things bothered her and she said when people send postcards that say "I wish you were here" on them. No you don't wish I was there, or you would have bought me a ticket so I could go with you! Nice one, sis!

She had another one, but I can't recall it, so I guess I'll end my stupid things people say post here!

bathroom quirks

I am the sort of person who thinks a bathroom sink need never be dirty. If you're visiting me, pay attention to this little known fact about me.

I. Like. My. Sinks. To. Be. Clean.

Let's chalk that one up to just a little quirk about me that you all have no choice but to love.

Oh, and I can't stand poop leftovers on the toilet bowl either.

Shar Copping

Things are looking up... I am looking at buying a new car because the insurance agency has written mine off.

Here are my top 3 choices within my strict budget range:

Toyota Matrix XR (2006 with 50,000kms):

Kia Spectra5 (2009 with 100kms):

and Chevy Aveo5 (not sure year and kms, haven't looked at one specifically yet):

Wish me luck in my hunt. Anybody have any opinions... all you out there with car knowledge?

since when is that fair for a child...

Could you all do me a favor? Seriously... I'm not in any way, shape or form kidding here.

Could you all pray for my nephew that when they do the rest of his tests it turns out that he's going to be fine... could you pray that he gets his tests done in time and that they turn out all okay. Please? Even if you've never said a prayer in your life, he's only 4 years old and he needs everyone on board with him. Okay?

Did you remember to wear green today? If not, watch your behind, cuz I'm gonna pinch you! Mwahahaha!

come here then, already!

There's a line in my horoscope today that says this:

The possibility of some houseguests might have you checking out your house to see what needs to be done to make it presentable.

So, alright! My door's open. Who is coming and when... I have to get a mattress and set up the spare bedroom. And lay flooring and do the window and door trim and finish the downstairs bathroom. And put on the closet doors in the basement hallway. And finish painting.

But hey, if you show up without notice, my couch is pretty comfy too!

effity eff

So I got rear ended on Wednesday this past week... and no, I'm not talking about the intimate sexual sort of rear ending. I'd have given anything to experience that over what I went through. At least I wouldn't have had to pay to get fixed and fill out all sorts of paperwork with THAT sort of rear action.

So for the following days till now, I've had a headache that won't go away and my neck, jaw and shoulders are aching something fierce. I've been going nutty with the Rub A535 and yesterday I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the doctor for a referral to follow up treatments. So Monday I'll be going into a local Chiropractic office that does massage therapy and hopefully I'll get myself rubbed back into proper placement.

Aside from that, a friend passed away on Tuesday last week also. She was the person who cared for Corey, my Autistic roomy. Her memorial is on Monday. So tomorrow I have to go shopping for a nice black shirt. Monday I have to go get assessed from my accident and then go to her service. It's gonna be a hard next couple of days.

a bit of me time

It was International Women's Day today... so happy that, all you women bloggers!

I celebrated it by treating myself to Starbucks, browsing books in Chapters, having a nap and doing tax receipts! Actually, I spent a bit of glorious time in a little fantasy of mine today... so I'll count that as a celebration of my being a woman too, since the subject matter had me being and feeling ultra feminine!! ;O)

I'm pretty tired of winter weather. I can handle cold well enough, but not extreme winds with next to no visibility. Just makes you want to stay in and snuggle with a blanket and someone you love. *sigh* Back to fantasy world!

Catch you all later!
