I only labelled it that so you'd come here and get your Halloween wishes!

Happy Halloween Everybody!!

Off tonight to an adult costume party and then tomorrow I'm spending All Hallows' Eve in Banff overnight. Should be quite the exciting time!!! Seems like every time Mr. Treat is here we gravitate towards the mountains near the beginning of his stay. I've never been to Banff on Halloween... should be quite interesting!!!

Hope everybody has a blast this weekend and remember to stay sensible and safe! Keep those evil spirits at bay, hey?

Sexy sounds from my radio

So I think there's many reasons a person listens to music, right? Hear me out though, I have an important question, but first, more rambling.

We listen to favorite tunes because we may like the lyrics, the melody, the tempo, the killer bass, the variety of instruments, the way it makes us feel when we hear it because of how it relates to our lives at the present moment in time. There are so many reasons to listen to and love music.

But I was driving alone in my car the other morning and a song came on (I'll be damned if I can remember what it was now that I'm writing this post) and I actually did this strange sort of double take thing, looking at the radio in my car because it had just then donned on me that it was none of the above reasons that I liked that song so much. It was actually the voice of the singer... so sultry and husky and warm sounding. I was just glued to the song.

As usual, I have a question related to this post. If you find that the reason you love a song is for the singer's voice and it's a singer that's the same sex as you are, does that make you a little bit gay?

Seventh Heaven

Holy Jeeeeeezzz!! Wow!!! I can't believe this is going to be the 7th time we've been together in a year and 3/4! What started out as friendship has grown stronger... famous line from a really good tune. Know it?

I wish it were going to be for longer this time for my Mr. Treat to be here, but I'll take what I can get! Ohhh... I can't wait to all be a happy little family unit again! Everybody here is so excited! Counting the minutes, indeed! Mmm-mmm-mmm... I'm one lucky woman!

Curiosity strikes again

If your body is posessed by a spirit, and you are making love to someone, is it like having a threesome?

Inspired by the movie Paheli (YouTube search it to see what I'm talking about). What can I say? My mind is quirky that way!

Not gonna let it get me down... just DOWN!!!

I'm in love with this song right now. On my way home tonight me and my *roomie* rocked out to it in the car, almost full blast. He loved it too, happy dancing all the way home! LOL

I took the video down, just YouTube "Down" by Jay Sean.

I think of my Mr. Treat when I hear it, it's such a sexy song... ;O)

A VERY needed happy little surprise!

OMG!!!!! My girlfriend (and her cohorts) is the BEST ever!!! I was really upset today, almost all day because one of my family members is being a critical dink, and I was desperately in need of venting this evening, so I called up Vix at 11:30pm and promised her that I wouldn't vent for too long. 45 minutes into our phone call, I'm still ranting about my absurd day and she just stops the call and says "Where are you sitting? Will you just do me a favor and go sit in your closet?" So I'm almost always up for a game, so I go sit in my closet and she instructs me to just look around for a bit and see if there's anything unusual that I see. Well, she didn't know that this afternoon I all but tore my closet apart looking for my passport and everything was all over the place in there. So I tell her this and she's going "Really???" and I'm saying yeah... she says, so you didn't find anything strange in there? No... should I?

And then it comes out... she says look around you on the floor... and what do I find when I part my shirts, but my VERY OWN HOUSE HIPPO!!!!!!! She planted him there beneath my bottom clothes rack last Thursday and wanted to see how long it would take me to find him!!! OMG, he's even nestled with all his dryer lint all snug and warm in a pair of pink slippers!!! He's cozy and wonderful!

If this post doesn't make any sense to you... READ THIS and it will all become evident what the eff I'm talking about!! (You'll have to read the last part of that post. LOL

Awww, Vix... thank you, you adorable sweet little thing!!! I love my house hippo and I love you! As for S and B... nicely played, I know who I can tell secrets to now! You didn't let on even once!

I just wanna talk about boobs for a minute.

I'm just not sure. I know that all women are not created equal in so far as their boobs go. There are the perky kind, the droopy kind, huge ones and small ones, the ones with small nipples, the ones with big nipples, the differences in colors of nipples. As if it's not bad enough that I'm a self admitted men's crotch watcher, I keep looking at women's cleavage lately, wondering what kind of boob lies inside the bra that's so expertly providing them with such attractive cleavage. I'm sort of drawn to looking at it like a moth is to a bright light. Just because I'd like to obtain that look so desperately. I think my boobs are too far apart to offer such cleavage... even with a push up bra. I think that in order to get any sort of brilliance in that area, I'd have to wear a corsette 24/7. Having said that, I guess I do have a pink bra that does the push up thing... still, I'm always left envious of others whom this seems to all come naturally to.

It's a good thing I have friends who are equally as curious about this phenomenon as I am, and who don't mind being open about talking it through with me.

For a while now, I've been learning to love my boobs, despite the obvious boob envy I have been exhibiting. Don't mistake this for "make love to my boobs" because I'm really not that flexible and they're really not that big. I guess in the world of cleavage, that's what it's all about. Learn to love what you've got regardless of whether you'd win a wet t-shirt contest or not!

Holidays are a blur, sometimes!

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!

I officially cooked my first Thanksgiving turkey dinner from scratch last night (I've only cooked 4 turkeys in my life). It was delicious. I put Cranberry juice, cranberries and raisins in the stuffing in addition to the usual things and spices... I had no idea what it would taste like, but it was so nice! The turkey was perfect, I had an awesome Greek salad going and the rest of the trimmings were yummy too! I always cook far too many potatoes. I under estimate the size of them, I guess... or how much more bulk I'm adding when I put in the fixings (sour cream, butter, milk, bacon bits and cheese all whipped together). Mmmm. Good stuff!

Got a bit hammered last night too. My girlfriend and I let our boys have a sleep over, and then out came the malibu rum once they were in bed. And the wine. And the Kalhua (sp?). I'm pretty sure that after having only 3.5 hours of sleep, I was actually still a bit buzzy this morning. But a good Tim Hortons coffee and breakfast did the trick and now aside from being tired, I'm feeling quite good! But... on this Thanksgiving... I'm thankful that I don't do this very often! Sometimes you just feel like getting silly in the comfort of your own home with friends. I was sure thankful for my Si... thousands of miles away, making sure to tuck me into bed last night ... safe and sound.

So it's gonna be a relaxed day today. I'm thankful for that too!!

Slippin' N Slidin'

Holy Hannah. Today is evidence of why everyone who isn't Canadian thinks we Canadian's live in igloos year round. It's October 8th and it blizzarded for a large chunk of today on my end of the city. Small flakes, huge flakes, wind. The roads are totally a sheet of ice... all of a sudden winter coats and boots are a necessity... I'm brushing off my car before driving anywhere again. Wow. I wasn't ready for this. I don't even know where my snow shovel is! It makes me just want to wrap myself in polar fleece and fuzzy socks and my favorite blanket (yes, I still actually have a blankie - adult version) and never unwrap!! If I'm gone for the next little while, it's because I'm literally frozen and nobody's come to thaw me out yet. How the heck did we skip over Autumn and dive right into winter here?! Unreal!

should's and are's don't always match up

This is what I should be doing today...
  • get a birthday gift for B
  • laundry
  • prepare the yard for winter (mow, weed, harvest garden, water in plants)
  • put away my groceries
  • change the header photos on the one a day blog
  • collect the mail for my mom while she's gone
  • eat
  • visit my sister at work
  • visit and help Vix prepare her harvest for the freezer

This is what I'm actually doing today.... _______________ .

I think I may be taking this weekend off thing a little bit too seriously. I think I'm in denial that Autumn's here and all my body wants to do today is snuggle under a blanket and chat with people. Guess tomorrow's gonna be a busy day!
