Happy Halloween Everybody!!
Off tonight to an adult costume party and then tomorrow I'm spending All Hallows' Eve in Banff overnight. Should be quite the exciting time!!! Seems like every time Mr. Treat is here we gravitate towards the mountains near the beginning of his stay. I've never been to Banff on Halloween... should be quite interesting!!!
Hope everybody has a blast this weekend and remember to stay sensible and safe! Keep those evil spirits at bay, hey?

We listen to favorite tunes because we may like the lyrics, the melody, the tempo, the killer bass, the variety of instruments, the way it makes us feel when we hear it because of how it relates to our lives at the present moment in time. There are so many reasons to listen to and love music.
But I was driving alone in my car the other morning and a song came on (I'll be damned if I can remember what it was now that I'm writing this post) and I actually did this strange sort of double take thing, looking at the radio in my car because it had just then donned on me that it was none of the above reasons that I liked that song so much. It was actually the voice of the singer... so sultry and husky and warm sounding. I was just glued to the song.
As usual, I have a question related to this post. If you find that the reason you love a song is for the singer's voice and it's a singer that's the same sex as you are, does that make you a little bit gay?

I wish it were going to be for longer this time for my Mr. Treat to be here, but I'll take what I can get! Ohhh... I can't wait to all be a happy little family unit again! Everybody here is so excited! Counting the minutes, indeed! Mmm-mmm-mmm... I'm one lucky woman!

I took the video down, just YouTube "Down" by Jay Sean.
I think of my Mr. Treat when I hear it, it's such a sexy song... ;O)

And then it comes out... she says look around you on the floor... and what do I find when I part my shirts, but my VERY OWN HOUSE HIPPO!!!!!!! She planted him there beneath my bottom clothes rack last Thursday and wanted to see how long it would take me to find him!!! OMG, he's even nestled with all his dryer lint all snug and warm in a pair of pink slippers!!! He's cozy and wonderful!
If this post doesn't make any sense to you... READ THIS and it will all become evident what the eff I'm talking about!! (You'll have to read the last part of that post. LOL
Awww, Vix... thank you, you adorable sweet little thing!!! I love my house hippo and I love you! As for S and B... nicely played, I know who I can tell secrets to now! You didn't let on even once!

It's a good thing I have friends who are equally as curious about this phenomenon as I am, and who don't mind being open about talking it through with me.
For a while now, I've been learning to love my boobs, despite the obvious boob envy I have been exhibiting. Don't mistake this for "make love to my boobs" because I'm really not that flexible and they're really not that big. I guess in the world of cleavage, that's what it's all about. Learn to love what you've got regardless of whether you'd win a wet t-shirt contest or not!

I officially cooked my first Thanksgiving turkey dinner from scratch last night (I've only cooked 4 turkeys in my life). It was delicious. I put Cranberry juice, cranberries and raisins in the stuffing in addition to the usual things and spices... I had no idea what it would taste like, but it was so nice! The turkey was perfect, I had an awesome Greek salad going and the rest of the trimmings were yummy too! I always cook far too many potatoes. I under estimate the size of them, I guess... or how much more bulk I'm adding when I put in the fixings (sour cream, butter, milk, bacon bits and cheese all whipped together). Mmmm. Good stuff!
Got a bit hammered last night too. My girlfriend and I let our boys have a sleep over, and then out came the malibu rum once they were in bed. And the wine. And the Kalhua (sp?). I'm pretty sure that after having only 3.5 hours of sleep, I was actually still a bit buzzy this morning. But a good Tim Hortons coffee and breakfast did the trick and now aside from being tired, I'm feeling quite good! But... on this Thanksgiving... I'm thankful that I don't do this very often! Sometimes you just feel like getting silly in the comfort of your own home with friends. I was sure thankful for my Si... thousands of miles away, making sure to tuck me into bed last night ... safe and sound.
So it's gonna be a relaxed day today. I'm thankful for that too!!

- get a birthday gift for B
- prepare the yard for winter (mow, weed, harvest garden, water in plants)
- put away my groceries
- change the header photos on the one a day blog
- collect the mail for my mom while she's gone
- visit my sister at work
- visit and help Vix prepare her harvest for the freezer
This is what I'm actually doing today.... _______________ .
I think I may be taking this weekend off thing a little bit too seriously. I think I'm in denial that Autumn's here and all my body wants to do today is snuggle under a blanket and chat with people. Guess tomorrow's gonna be a busy day!
