Just great fun!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Skype!!!

I just spent about an hour and a half with all of my "UK family", having their tea while I had my lunch here, 7 hours in their past!! LOL It was sooooo much fun watching, listening, interacting via free video chat. I loved it!!! It was like perma grin for the whole time. I felt like such a part of the excitement over there! I'll definitely have to do that again sometime when they're all together!

Muff Stuff

I'm pretty sure that if you're driving along on a regular ol' paved city road, you would realize your muffler just dropped off your car, wouldn't you?

So then, I wonder why there was one just laying in the middle of the road on my way home today. Because then I'd also assume that the person who must have heard it fall off, or at very least notice the dramatic increase of the noise output of their vehicle, would pull over and take a look for it and maybe even rescue it before continuing on home.

But hey, maybe that's just me.

I have the quirks... and I hope it's not contagious.

I guess I'll talk about a quirk of mine. I can't sit withouth having my feet up. Some way or another, I have to have one or both feet up. Tucked underneath me or beside me, crossed, up on the bench that I use for a coffee table, left up/right down or vice versa. If I'm laying on the floor, they need to be up on something then too. I used to love laying on my back, bent at the hips with my the lower half of my body stretched up the wall. I do this when I'm at home, visiting with friends at their houses, waiting rooms, restaurants. I can't really help it. I have such issues with my feet being on the ground when I'm sitting that it's probably not done my knees any favors as an adult. They ache now. But I'm not sure what the cause of that is.... so let's not blame the quirk. It is just a harmless little unknowing quirk afterall, and I don't want to make it feel bad.

Fantastic floor laying frenzy

I just have to say that DAAAAAAMN is home reno hard work!! I never thought laying laminate flooring was such a time consuming and physically demanding job. Honestly. But this was day 2 of it, we've only gotten a room and a 1/4 and some tiny bit of hallway done and the kids both come home tomorrow. Shit man. Please let tomorrow's laying of the floor go faaaaster!! It's not that it's really hard work, but figuring out the angles and cuts can be a bit of a brain teaser. I've made my fair share of wrong cuts today... but miraculously, we've not wasted many pieces of the stuff.

Every. part. of. my. body. is. aching. right. now.

And tomorrow I have to do it more, and then more, and then some more. Wish us good luck!!! And if anybody wants to come over and help out, that would be so effing fantastic! ;O)

Okay, so I think I may have done the impossible.

Have you ever slept on a body part the wrong way for the majority of the night and then woke up and had a stitch in it? Your neck, your shoulder... something to that affect?

Well this morning, I woke up feeling like my right nipple had been stuck in a vice all night long. Is it EVER sore this morning!! Was I pinching myself in my sleep? Dreams getting the better of me? Was I squishing my right boob between my wrist and bicep of opposites in some strange sort of prolonged sleep induced yoga move? It feels like I've been breastfeeding for 48 hours straight without any sort of relief from creams or soothing lotions.

I haven't got a freaking clue how it happened, but this is one SORE nipple! Shit man.
