You don't just have to look up to see the stars. They are on the ground you walk all over too. Isn't this moss beautiful? I love how it's so vibrantly lime green in the center with each tiny leaf ending in a crimson color. And the white things make them each look like little shooting stars.
Here's another shot of brilliant lime green fungus that is completely covering some branches of a thickly forested evergreen tree, as the sunlight filtered down and illuminated it's branches. This was taken by Dolly Varden in Kootenay National Park one magical afternoon last spring.

Great pics of the ever amazing mother nature!
Dolly Varden is just a pull out/rest area with some covered picnic areas and a trail to a small river. I've always loved the name too.
